The Council proposes to apply 30 mph speed limits on sections of the B6367 and B6458 roads at Tynehead Village to improve road safety. These roads are currently subject to the National Speed Limit (60 mph for cars). Details may be examined from 21 May to 12 June 2026 at Libraries, at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk or from david.chambers@midlothian.gov.uk .
Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds of objection in writing, quoting reference TO/R5.3.153, to The Legal Services Manager, Midlothian Council, Fairfield House, 8 Lothian Road, Dalkeith EH22 3AA or to legal@midlothian.gov.uk, to arrive not later than 12 June 2026.
THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (EASTFIELD INDUSTRIAL ESTATE AND EASTFIELD DRIVE, PENICUIK) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2026 - TTRO/R 5.4.338
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Midlothian Council has made a temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, placing the restrictions detailed in the below schedule on the roads within Eastfield Industrial Estate and part of Eastfield Drive. The Order shall have effect on 1 June 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 12 June 2026. The restrictions are necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works
SCHEDULE:-
1. All roads within Eastfield Industrial Estate (from Eastfield Drive to Eastfield Farm Road) will be closed Monday to Friday between the hours of 1800 and 0600. Pedestrian access will be maintained. The alternative route for general vehicular traffic will be clearly signposted.
2. There will be parking restrictions with no waiting, loading and unloading on (a) all roads (both kerblines) within Eastfield Industrial Estate and (b) Eastfield Drive (both kerblines) from outside 19 Eastfield Drive to just before the Loanburn Avenue junction.
