ARRANGEMENTS HALL LANE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Hall Lane from its junction with Hinkley Road to its junction with Boswell Drive.

The Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on Thursday, 28 May 2026 and is required to enable BT to install cable ducting and associated works on Hall Lane to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 29 May 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the
closure will be sign posted on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Hall Lane.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
VARIOUS ROADS, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding the roads listed in the Schedule below to such extent where prescribed signs are displayed.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 1st June 2026 and is required to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 5th June 2026. 

Diversion routes will be sign posted where appropriate and access to premises maintained wherever possible except when Works is directly in front of a property.

Exemptions would be provided for:
a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

d) local vehicular access to the named roads.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS WATERY LANE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Watery Lane at its junction with Bennetts Road.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 3rd June 2026 and is required to enable small sluice valve re-packing works to take place safely. 

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 5th June 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:
a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

d) local vehicular access to Watery Lane.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS GIBBET HILL ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Gibbet Hill Road commencing from its junction with Lord Bhattacharyya Way and continuing to its junction with Westwood Heath Road.

The Order would come into effect at 00:01 hours on Saturday 30th May 2026 and is required to enable National Grid to carry out reinforcement works on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Sunday 31st May 2026.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.
Exemptions would be provided for:

a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

d) local vehicular access to Gibbet Hill Road Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY/ FOOTPATH CLOSURE
PUBLIC RIGHT OF REMBRANDT CLOSE COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along F P Rembrandt Close at its junction with Dunchurch Highway.

The Order would come into operation at 00:01 hours Monday 1st June 2026 and is required to allow for new connection and services works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of this Order is six (6) months but it is expected that the works would be completed by Monday 15th June 2026.

The Order has a max duration of 6 months. The Council reserves the right to seek an extension to the Order from the Secretary of State for Transport in the event it believes the Order will be required beyond 6 months
Exemptions would be provided for: -

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) anyone in connection with the execution of the said works;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) Local Pedestrian access.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS LONDON ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along the roads set out in the Schedule below.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 1st June 2026 and is required to enable a telecommunications mast change and associated works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 5th June 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:
a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
KENPAS HIGHWAY SERVICE ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Kenpas Highway Service Road on the highway fronting No. 222 and then continuing 20m in each direction.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 3rd June 2026 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to safely renew a connection pipe.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 5th June 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:
a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

d) local vehicular access to Kenpas Highway Service Road.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS MILE LANE, COVENTRY 

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Mile Lane commencing at its junction with IRR Quinton Road Roundabout and continuing to its junction with Thomas Landsail Street. 

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Tuesday 2nd June 2026 and is required to enable the safe installation of the Coventry Very Light Rail slabs, tram rails and other associated works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Wednesday 30th September. Exemptions would be provided for: 

a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; 

c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

d) local vehicular access to Mile Lane.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Grantham Street to such extent where prescribed signs are displayed. 

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 1st June 2026 and is required to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works to take place safely. 

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 26th June 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:
a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

d) local vehicular access to Grantham Street.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

PROPOSED TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER CITY OF COVENTRY (CITYWIDE)
(PERMITTED PARKING AREA AND SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (DESIGNATION, WAITING RESTRICTIONS, LOADING RESTRICTIONS, LOADING AREAS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2016 – (VARIATION 15) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order:-

The Order proposes to implement the following:-
i) A number of road safety concerns have been raised by local residents with regard to problems caused by parking. The problem parking is causing obstructions at junctions and/or reducing visibility of and for exiting vehicles. It is proposed to install waiting restrictions at these locations to prevent parking and improve road safety. In addition, changes are proposed to waiting restrictions, such as adjustments to length of restriction, or new proposals due to traffic management schemes or new developments. These proposals are to improve traffic management and road safety.

ii) Following reviews it has been shown that there are some inconsistencies between Orders and restrictions indicated on street and these anomalies are being resolved by remaking the Orders

iii) Introduce the following Residents’ Only Permit Parking Scheme:
KENSINGTON ROAD – All properties in Kensington Road will be eligible to apply for Zone KR Parking Permits.

iv) Extend the existing Residents’ Only Permit Parking
Schemes:

CHEYLESMORE EAST (Zone CE) – Mile Lane is to be added to the CE Zone. Properties 10 to 50 (even numbers only) & 15 to 71 (odd numbers only) Mile Lane, will be eligible to apply for Zone CE Parking Permits. 

ELIZABETH WAY (Zone EL) – Properties 142A & 142B Woodway Lane only will be eligible to apply for Zone EL Parking Permits

PARADISE 1 (Zone EW1) – Properties 695 to 701B (odd numbers only) Stoney Stanton Road will be eligible to apply for Zone EW1 Parking Permits.

The effect of the proposed Order is to add to, vary or amend the waiting restrictions on certain lengths of the following roads:

Abercorn Road, Alandale Avenue, Amy Close, Barker Butt’s Lane, Barras Lane, Blackburn Road, Broad Lane, Broadmere Rise, Browning Road, Bulwer Road, Cecily Road, Cedars Avenue, Chace Avenue, Clipstone Road, Cossington Road, Dallington Road, Dean Street, Deighton Grove, Dennis Road, Devon Grove, Doyle Drive, Dunsmore Avenue, Eden Street, Edgefield Road, Edyth Road, Ena Road, Hamilton Road, Harper Road, Headborough Road, Hocking Road, Hove Avenue, Lythalls Lane, Max Road, Medina Road, Mile Lane, Newland Road, Norfolk Street, Northumberland Road, Old Farm Lane, Pinners Croft, Rollason Road, Rowington Close, Stonebury Avenue, Stonefield Close, Stretton Avenue, Torcastle Close, Villa Road, Warner Row, Watersmeet Road, Waveley Road, Whitnash Grove, Wildmoor Close, Wilsons Road, Woodridge Avenue, Woodside Avenue North, Wordsworth Road, Wyken Way,
