(Temporary Closing Of Great Ashby Way, Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Great Ashby Way, Stevenage from its junction with Grasmere south westwards and north westwards to its junction with the White Horse Lane roundabout, a distance of approximately 260m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Gresley Way, Martins Way, A1072 Martins Way, Canterbury Way and Great Ashby Way.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 8 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of The Footway Situated On The South Side Of The A602 Hitchin Road/A1(M) (Junction) 8 Roundabout, Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footway situated on the south side of the A602 Hitchin Road/A1(M) (junction) 8 roundabout, Stevenage from a point 62m south east of its junction with A602 Wymondley Bypass south eastwards for a distance of approximately 71m ("the Footway").
An alternative route will be via: the footway situated on the west and north sides of the A602 Hitchin Road/A1(M) (junction) 8 roundabout and the cycle track/footpath situated on the east side of the A602 Hitchin Road/A1(M) (junction) 8 roundabout.
The Order is needed because bridge inspection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footway.
The Order will come into effect from 8 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footway.

(Temporary Closing Of The Cycle Track/Footpath Situated Between No.1 Earlsmead And No.11 Aubreys, Letchworth Garden City) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles/pedestrians from using the cycle track/footpath situated between No.1 Earlsmead and No.11 Aubreys, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Aubreys north westwards for a distance of approximately 369m ("the Cycle Track/Footpath").
An alternative route will be via: Aubreys, Four Acres, Willian Way, A505 Baldock Road and Letchworth Garden City Public Footpath No.008.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track/Footpath.
The Order will come into effect from 8 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track/Footpath.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On Various Roads In Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Whomerley Road, Stevenage from its junction with Rockingham Way north westwards to its junction with Denton Road, a distance of approximately 163m.
An alternative route will be via: Rockingham Way and Denton Road.

2. the road situated on the south side of Nos.13-21a Whomerley Road, Stevenage from its junction with Whomerley Road south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. the road situated to the rear of Nos.19-33 Austen Paths, Stevenage from its junction with Siddons Road south eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

An alternative route will be via: Sish Lane, Barclay Crescent and Haycroft Road.

2. the road leading to Nos.21-35 Greydells Road, Stevenage from its southernmost junction with Greydells Road clockwise for a distance of approximately 97m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B655 Hexton Road, Offley from its junction with Hitchin Road north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 3018m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: B655 Pirton Road, A505 (Offley Road/Moormead Hill/Offley Bypass/Hitchin Road/Stopsley Way), A5228 (Hitchin Road/Stockingstone Way), A6 (New Bedford Road/Barton Road/Luton Road) and B655 (Luton Road/Hexton Road/Barton Road/Hitchin Road).
The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

(Temporary Traffic Management Measures On Various Roads In Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Coreys Mill Lane into the access road leading to ‘Lister Hospital’, Stevenage whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via: Coreys Mill Lane, the A602 Hitchin Road roundabout and Coreys Mill Lane.

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the exit road leading from ‘Lister Hospital’ ambulance drop off zone into Coreys Mill Lane, Stevenage whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via: Coreys Mill Lane, the B197 North Road roundabout and Coreys Mill Lane.

The Order is needed because mast upgrade works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 25 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of The Cycle Track Situated On The South East Side Of A1155 Fairlands Way, Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the south east side of A1155 Fairlands Way, Stevenage from its junction with Bedwell Crescent north eastwards for a distance of approximately 126m ("the Cycle Track").
Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track.
The Order will come into effect from 25 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 12 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the cycle track.
