What is happening?

(Bognor Regis: High Street and Sussex Road) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close High Street in Bognor Regis, from Sussex Street to London Road, and Sussex Street throughout its entire length.
The closure of these roads is needed to allow new electricity mains to be installed safely.
The Order will come into effect on 8 June 2026 and remain in force until 2 July 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(East Dean, Singleton & Westhampnett: Goodwood Three Friday Nights) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than seven days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:
(i) prohibit vehicles from travelling along Pook Lane/Forage Yard Road, between Fordwater Road and Trundle Hill; Racecourse Road, between Kennel Hill and East Dean Hill; Lower Road; and
(ii) require all vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding 30MPH on Kennel Hill Road/Trundle Hill, from New Road northwards for a distance of 3.4KM; Racecourse Road from Trundle Hill eastwards and north-eastwards for 600M; and
(iii) require all vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding 40MPH on Racecourse Road, from a point 600M east of Trundle Hill eastwards for 200M; Trundle Hill, from a point 60M north-west of Knights Hill southwards for a distance of 200M.
The Order will come into operation on 5 June 2026 and is necessary to ensure safe access and egress for pedestrians and protect safety of local residents during the Goodwood Three Friday Night Concerts.
The speed restrictions will be in place daily from 0800hours until 2359hours on 5 June 2026 12 June 2026 and 19 June 2026 and from 0800hours until 1200hours on 6 June 2026, 13 June 2026 and 20 June 2026.
The road closures will be operative daily from 1200hours until 2359hours on 5 June 2026, 12 June 2026 and 19 June 2026 and from 0000hours until 0030hours on 6 June 2026, 13 June 2026 and 20 June 2026.

(Wisborough Green: Run Wisborough 2026) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intend to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding at any time along lengths of:(i) Durbans Road – from the A272 to the B2133;
(ii) Kirdford Road – from Skiff Lane to Durbans Road;
(iii) Newpound Lane – from Kirdford Road to the B2133
The Order is necessary to facilitate the Run Wisborough 2026.
The Order will come into operation on 7 June 2026 and will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1200hours.

(Boxgrove, Westhampnett & Lavant Goodwood Players Classic 2026) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
(i) require all vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding 30MPH on New Road, from Fordwater Road to Strettington Lane; Kennel Hill Road, from New Road to Forage Yard Road; Claypit Lane, between New Road and Madgwick Lane; and
(ii) require all vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding 40MPH on Trundle Hill, from Forage Yard Road northwards for 400M; and
(iii) prohibit vehicles from making right turns onto Claypit Lane from carpark C Gates C1 and C2; from Goodwood Motor Circuit Gate 1 onto Claypit Lane; from Claypit Lane into Goodwood Motor Circuit Gate 1; onto New Road from carpark B western exit; and
(iv) prohibit vehicles from making left turns onto New Road from carpark B eastern exit. This Order will be operative from 0800hours on 5 June 2026 until 1700hours on 8 June 2026 and is necessary to manage the volume of traffic attending the Players Classic event at the Motorcircuit, to facilitate the safe access and egress for users of the event carparks and to maintain the flow of traffic.

(Chichester: North Walls) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close North Walls at the junction with Chapel Street.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst proeprty maintenance works requiring scaffolding to be erected in the carraigeway are undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 1 June 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on or after 1 June 2026 and will take 8 weeks to complete.

(Middleton-On-Sea: Public Footpath 160) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public footpath 160 in Middleton-On-Sea from Yapton Road westwards to Worms Lane.
The closure of this route is needed to allow resurfacing works to take place in safety.
The Order extends the operation of a previously issued closure notice and will come into effect on 26 May 2026. The Order will remain in force for up to 6 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
