(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U2165, near Flimby, from its junction with the C2001, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 710m.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the U2164 Flimby Brow and C2001.

The Order will come into operation on 10 June 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
