What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(Bell Road, High Street & Tunbridge Lane, Bottisham)
(Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 15th of May 2026 Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) made the abovenamed Order under the powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers. 

The effect of which is to prohibit waiting at any time (install double yellow lines) on the following lengths of road in Bottisham: Northeastern side of High St from outside No. 25, north-westwards to its junction with Tunbridge Ln, extending approx. 38m northwards along the eastern side of Tunbridge Ln. Northwestern side of Tunbridge Ln, from its junction with High St, for a distance of 24.5m north-eastwards. 

For administrative purposes the Order revokes and consolidates the effects of “The County of Cambridgeshire (Bell Road and High Street, Bottisham) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1990.”

A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on the 21st of May 2026 together with a map showing the effects of the Order and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for having made the Order, may be inspected online, on the Council’s website, at the following address https://shorturl.at/cjnIO – see reference PR1163. 

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may do so by application to the High Court within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made.

Notice of Intention to Install a Parallel Crossing Cowley Road, Cambridge

NOTICE is hereby given that Cambridgeshire County Council proposes to install a parallel crossing in the following location: 

On Cowley Road, Cambridge close to its junction with Orwell Furlong. 

These proposals are intended to provide a safe crossing place for pedestrians and cyclists.

Any comments on these proposals must be sent, in writing, to the undersigned by 10th June 2026 or email: policyandregulation@cambridgeshire.gov.uk using the reference PR1215.

A copy of the maps showing the location of the crossing may be examined at the office of the undersigned by appointment only.

The District Of South Cambridgeshire (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions And Street Parking Places) Order 2023 (Amendment No. 26) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) proposes to make the above-named Order under the powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the Traffic Management Act 2004 (as amended).

The effect of this Order is to prohibit waiting at any time (install double yellow lines) on Mere Way (Milton Byway No.3) in the Parishes of Histon and Impington and Milton at both sides of its junction with Milton Road/Butt Lane. 

The draft Order, together with a map showing the roads and lengths of road concerned and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at New Shire Hall, Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon, PE28 4YE, by appointment only, or via our online consultation portal – please use the link https://consultation.appyway.com/southcambridgeshire and select the Order “DoSC CEA WRSPP Order 2023 Am 26 Mere Way”

All feedback, including objections stating the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing by the 10th of June 2026. Please use the consultation portal linked above, by the below email or write to the undersigned.
