The A3 GLA Road (Clapham High Street, London Borough of Lambeth) (Temporary Prohibition of Stopping) Order 2026

Transport for London hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3

The purpose of the Order is to enable crane operation works to take place on the A3 Clapham High Street.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from stopping in the:

(1) Loading and Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay outside of Nos. 130 to 152 Clapham High Street;

(2) Taxi Bay outside Nos. 134 to 138 Clapham High Street.

The Order will also close the northern footway between the extended common boundary of Nos.122 and 124 Clapham High Street and the extended common boundary of Nos. 140 and 142 Clapham High Street. Pedestrians will be diverted to the southern footway.

The Order will be effective at certain times between 7th June 2026 and 15th June 2026 each Sunday night from 11:00 PM ceasing at 4:00 AM each Monday morning, or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibition will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:

(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.
