What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 25 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE STREET, LITTLE HORMEAD/FURNEUX PELHAM) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Street, Little Hormead/Furneux Pelham from its junction with Worsted Lane south eastwards, southwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with The Causeway, a distance of approximately 4051m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Worsted Lane, B1368 (unnamed road/Dassels Hill/Dassels/ Hay Street/Green End), Ford Street, The Street, Pelham Road, Braughing Road, Patient End and The Causeway.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 25 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. 

The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON 3U52 (UNNAMED ROAD), ARDELEY) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of 3U52 (unnamed road), Ardeley from its junction with C14 (unnamed road) north westwards for a distance of approximately 717m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via C14 (unnamed road), B1037 (White Hill/unnamed road), Mill Lane and 3U52 (unnamed road).

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 22 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KITTEN LANE, STANSTEAD ABBOTTS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kitten Lane, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with B180 Hunsdon Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B180 Hunsdon Road, B181 Roydon Road and Kitten Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 24 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON A1170 WARE ROAD, HODDESDON) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1170 Ware Road, Hoddesdon from its junction with the Bridleway/Plomer Avenue roundabout south westwards to its junction with Roselands Avenue, a distance of approximately 330m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A1170 Ware Road, A10 (Amwell Link Road/unnamed road/ Hoddesdon Link Road) and A1170 (Amwell Street/Ware Road).

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 25 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
