(PIMBO ROAD, SKELMERSDALE, WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRCTION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to wait at any time on that length of Pimbo Road, Skelmersdale from its junction with Pit Hey Place for a distance of 185 metres in a northerly direction.
2. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to load or unload at any time on that length of Pimbo Road, Skelmersdale from its junction with Pit Hey Place for a distance of 185 metres in a northerly direction.
3. No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to exceed the speed limit of 30 MPH on that length of Pimbo Road, Skelmersdale from its junction with Potter Place for a distance of 420 metres in a northwest direction.
4. No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to exceed to speed limit of 20 MPH on that length of Pimbo Road, Skelmersdale from a point 93 metres northwest of its junction with Pikelaw Place to its junction with Pit Hey Place.
5. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
6. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours until 1600 hours on Wednesday 27th May 2026 or until completion of the works within this period.
Access for emergency services will be maintained whenever and wherever possible.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow crane lifting works to be carried out.
