Troutbeck - Temporary Prohibition of All Traffic Due To Highway Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C5003, TROUTBECK) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the C5003, Troutbeck, from a point approx. 35 metres south west of its junction with the U5558, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 200 metres.

A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C5003, A59I and Patterdale Road (A592).

The Order will come into operation on 8th June 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
