Cumbria - Multiple Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (HELMSIDE ROAD AND HELMSIDE GARDENS, OXENHOLME, LINDALE ROAD, GRANGE OVER SANDS AND C5026 (HAWKSHEAD) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
a) Helmside Road, Oxenholme, from a point approx. 90 metres south west of its junction with Oxenholme Road extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 55 metres.
b) Helmside Gardens, Oxenholme, from its junction with Helmside Road, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 15 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Helmside Road, Burton Road (A65) and Oxenholme Road (B6254).
Duration: From 7th June 2026 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/I838J)
Lindale Road, Grange-over-Sands, from a point approx. 30 metres west of its junction with Riggs Close, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 35 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the Lindale Road, Grange Road, Kendal Road, A590, B5278, Mark Street (B5277), Swinnate Road, Flookburgh Road, Church Road, Holme Lane, Allithwaite Road, Kents Bank Road, Park Road, The Esplanade and Main Street.
Duration: From 8th June 2026 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/I859J)
Lindale Road, Grange-over-Sands, from a point approx. 15 metres south west of its junction with Meathop Road, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 55 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the Lindale Road, Grange Road, Kendal Road, A590, B5278, Mark Street (B5277), Swinnate Road, Flookburgh Road, Church Road, Holme Lane, Allithwaite Road, Kents Bank Road, Park Road, The Esplanade and Main Street.
Duration: From 8th June 2026 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/I860J)
C5026, Hawkshead, from a point approx. 105 metres south east of its junction with the U5774, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 40 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5026, A590, A592, A591, A5705, A593 and the B5286.
Duration: From 21st June 2026 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/I8522)
