(PUBLIC FOOTPATH BA27/47, THE SHALLOWS, SALTFORD) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above order, made on 14 May 2026 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the section of public footpath running from a junction with The Shallows at ST68716692 and proceeding in a generally NE direction for approx 42m to ST68756694 and turning in a generally SE direction for approx 7m to ST68756694, to a line running from a junction with The Shallows at ST68716691 and proceeding in a generally NE direction for approx 46m to ST68756694, as shown on the order map.

A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen at https://www.bathnes.gov.uk/services/ streets-and-highway-maintenance/public-rights-way/ notices-and-consultations or free of charge at the Keynsham Library and Information Service, Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham, BS31 1FS during normal (opening) office hours. Copies of the order and map may be bought from the Council at the price of £5.00 - to purchase please telephone the Public Rights of Way Team on 01225 477649.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Team, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Lewis House, Manvers Street, Bath, BA1 1JG or by email to PROW@ bathnes.gov.uk not later than 18 June 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it will become available for public inspection.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Bath and North East Somerset Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
