THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(GEDLING, CALVERTON AND RAVENSHEAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2026 (G26-091)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Gedling, Calverton and Ravenshead in the Borough of Gedling.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. SHELFORD ROAD, GEDLING - From its junction with Arnold Lane to its junction with Freda Avenue
b. LONGUE DRIVE, CALVERTON - From its junction with George's Lane to its junction with Jumelles Drive
c. RIGG LANE, RAVENSHEAD - From a point 50 metres North of its junction with Longdale Lane to a point 50 metres South of the same junction.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road at Gedling, Calverton and Ravenshead in the Borough of Gedling:-
a. SHELFORD ROAD, GEDLING - (Both Sides) (At Any Time)- From its junction with Arnold Lane to its junction with Freda Avenue
b. LONGUE DRIVE, CALVERTON - (Both Sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with George's Lane to its junction with Jumelles Drive
c. RIGG LANE, RAVENSHEAD - (Both Sides) (At Any Time) - From a point 50 metres North of its junction with Longdale Lane to a point 50 metres South of the same junction.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above
road or roads will apply as follows:
From 00:01, Monday, 1st June 2026
Until 23:59 Monday 22nd June 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

The Order will come into force on Monday 1st June 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out works to do carriageway repair works;
