CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024 (VARIATION NO.*)

ORDER 20**

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that the Borough Council of Calderdale (“the Council”) in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) proposes to make the above Order, the effect of which will be to amend the existing pay and display restrictions on roads in the Skircoat area of Halifax:

•  Pay & Display parking on Stafford Road, Skircoat Green Road, Lawrence Road, Skircoat Green, Dudwell Lane (Upper), Godfrey Road and Dryclough Lane. Proposals will amend the charging days and hours from; Mon-Fri 8am-7pm, to All Days 8am-8pm (Inc Bank Holidays). The parking tariff and maximum stay period will not be affected.

•  Dudwell Lane (Lower). Proposals will amend the charging days and hours from; Mon-Fri 8am-7pm, to All Days 8am-8pm (Inc Bank Holidays). The parking tariff will not be affected. The maximum stay period will be reduced to 4 hours, to support the turnover of spaces for hospital visitors.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including the statement of reasons for proposing it and plans showing the affected roads, are available for inspection at Halifax Central Library, Halifax, HX1 1QG, from 10.00 am to 5.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays and 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Saturdays. Copies of the documents can be viewed on the Council’s website at: www.calderdale.gov.uk/tro. Alternatively, documents can be made available on request via email proposedtro@ calderdale.gov.uk or telephone 01422 288001 or 288002. If you wish to object to or make a representation to any part of the proposed Order, you must send the grounds for your objection or support in writing to reach the Council by not later than 11th June 2026 to either proposedtro@calderdale.gov.uk or Highways and Transportation, C/O The Town Hall, Crossley Street, Halifax, HX1 1UJ, FAO: Parking Services.  All objections must specify the  grounds on which they are made.
