(THTTC4146 COOKS HILL/THE MEAD, CLUTTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:

• Cooks Hill, Clutton from a point outside 15 The Mead extending east to a point outside 26 The Mead. USRN: 47916491.

• The Mead, Clutton at its junction with Cooks Hill extending north for approximately 25 metres. USRN: 47902639. 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to renew, replace, raise and lower Frame and Cover from the 26th May 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE DAYS.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Cooks Hill diversion: Cooks Hill (remainder) – A37 – Lower Bristol Road – Station Road – Cooks Hill – vice versa.

(THTTC4180 RUGMOOR LANE, NEMPNETT THRUBWELL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Rugmoor Lane, Nempnett Thrubwell from a point outside Rugmoor Farm. USRN: 47917665. 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable National Grid to install a new low voltage supply from the 8th June 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.

Works are anticipated to be for THREE DAYS.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

• a road closure in that length of Moorledge Road, Stowey from its junction with A368 Wick Road extending north west to a point outside the property known as Bishops Lodge. USRN: 47920319.

• a 40mph speed limit will be introduced in that length of A368 Wick Road, Stowey approximately

400 metres north east from its junction with Moorledge Road extending south for approximately 600 metres. USRN: 47961289.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to install new poles on the 27th May 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months.

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 08:00 - 18:00hrs.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Maesknoll Lane, Norton Malreward from a point outside the entrance to New Barn Farmhouse extending west for approximately 160 metres. This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable contractors to carry out repairs to a disused railway bridge from the 26th May 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. 

Works are anticipated to be for FOUR WEEKS.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bath & North East Somerset Council to carry out drainage improvement works to remove highway flooding from the 26th May 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for FOUR DAYS.
