What is happening?

SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

The Borough Council of Sandwell (West Bromwich Street, Oldbury)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding via West Bromwich Street between the access and egress roads to West Bromwich Street Long Stay Car Park. Diversion routes will be signed via Fountain Lane, Bromford Lane, Oldbury Ringway and Bromford Lane and Fountain Lane. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 02/06/2026, effective from 01/06/2026 (7pm-6am only). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Bell End, Rowley Regis)
(Temporary One-Way Road Closure) Order 2026
intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Bell End, which will be closed one-way in a westerly direction from the junction of Greenwood Avenue (western side) to the dividing line of property No’s 44/45. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A traffic diversion route will be signed via Mincing Lane, Oldbury Road, Henderson Way & Birmingham Road. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 04/06/2026, effective from 02/06/2026 (24hr). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Moor Lane, Rowley Regis)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Moor Lane, which will be closed between the junctions of Highams Close (eastern side) & Highmoor Road (western side). Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A traffic diversion for general traffic will be signed via Powke Lane & Ross. A traffic diversion route for residential access to Moor Lane & Highmoor Road will be signed via Powke Lane, Ross & Carnegie Road. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 03/06/2026 (9:30am-3:30pm).
