What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Butleigh Temporary Closure of Barton Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Barton Road - from the junction with Sub Road, eastwards for a total distance of 349 metres. This Order will enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out service disconnection works.
The Order becomes effective on 21st May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 27th May 2026 and last until 29th May 2026 between the hours of 08:00 - 16:00 for a total of 5 days.
