What is happening?

BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE

(HAROLD STREET, MIDDLETON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Harold Street from its junction with Hyde Square for a distance of 50 metres in a northerly direction.

The Order is required to facilitate electrical works within the carriageway and footway.

The Order will be operative from 09.00 hours until 16.00 hours each day from the 28th May 2026 until 29th May 2026.

Access will be provided if required and safe to do so.

There is no alternative route for vehicles.
