THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (NORTH OF COLSTERWORTH, LINCOLNSHIRE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the A1 Trunk Road, north of Colsterworth, in the County of Lincolnshire, to enable local authority maintenance works to be carried out nearby.
The effect of the Order will be to close –
(1) the gap in the central reservation of the A1 opposite its junction with Crabtree Road, near Colsterworth; and
(2) the dedicated right turn lane leading from the southbound carriageway of the A1 to the gap described in (1) above.
The work will be carried out between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Tuesday 2 June 2026 and continue for one night. The Order will come into force on 26 May 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes will be exempt from the closures. Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the A1 will be signed.
