THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (SADBERGE JUNCTION)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in County Durham, to enable drainage works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Thursday 28 May 2026 for 1 night, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am.
The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the A66 westbound exit and entry slip roads at Sadberge Junction, during which times suitably signed alternative routes will be available.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).
The Order comes into force on 27 May 2026 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
