WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981, SECTION 53(A)(2)
THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (FOOTPATH 71 FOOTPATH UN1 (PARTS) TOWN OF SHREWSBURY) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026.
THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (FOOTPATH 73 (PARTS) TOWN OF SHREWSBURY) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026.
The above order was made on 21st May 2026. The effect of the order will be to divert 155 metres of FP 71 & UN1 and 255 metres of FP 73 which run to the east and south east of Shrewsbury Town Football Club, off Oteley Road.
A copy of the order and the order map and an explanatory statement have been placed and may be seen on the Council’s website at

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Shropshire Council, Rights of Way Team, Riggs Hall, Castle Gates, Shrewsbury, SY1 2AS or by email to outdoor.recreation@shropshire.gov.uk not later than 18th June 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
