What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY BRIDLEWAY CLOSURE
PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO.8 (PART)
HOPE WOODLANDS

WHEN: 08 June to 07 December 2026.
WHERE: From the north Bridleway No.8 will be open for approx. 200m then closed for approx. 2 miles. The closure will end where Bridleway No.8 meets Bridleway No.13.
REASON: To facilitate public safety during
forestry works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: No alternative route is recommended.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of bridleway. The bridleway will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
