Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 21st May 2026:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (OVEREND CLOSE, BRADWELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2366)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road to allow Openreach to lay ducts safely.
Overend Close, Bradwell – its full length
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route.
The closure will be in effect between 1st and 3rd June 2026.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (A509 (PART), NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2431)
The effect of which will be to temporarily close the following length of road and add a temporary speed limit of 40mph.
A509, Newport Pagnell – from Renny Park Roundabout to Chicheley Hill Roundabout.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be signed.
Overnight and weekend closures will be in effect at stages during the period referred to below which will be advertised in advance.
The closure will be in effect between 1st June and 11th December 2026.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SAXON STREET (PART), OLDBROOK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2414)
The effect of which is to allow MBNL to undertake works to a telecoms pole.
Saxon Street, Oldbrook – its northbound carriageway from Chaffron Way to Childs Way
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Chaffron Way, Grafton Street and Childs Way.
The closure will be in effect from 3rd to 4th June 2026 overnight from 8:00pm to 6:00am.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CHURCH ROAD (PART), BOW BRICKHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2379)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road to allow Openreach to undertake defect works.
Church Road, Bow Brickhill – Outside number 38
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Longslade Lane, Woburn Road, Hardwick Road, The Lyes and Woburn Sands Road (and vice versa).
This closure will be in effect between 4th and 8th June 2026
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (EDMUND COURT, SHENLEY CHURCH END) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2342)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road to allow Openreach to lay ducts safely.
Edmund Court – between numbers 25 and 27.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route.
This closure will be in effect between 4th and 8th June (9:00am to 4:30pm).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 19th May 2026, made the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SOUTH LAWNE, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2378)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road to allow Openreach to lay ducts safely.
South Lawne, Bletchley – From number 14 to number 26.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Rickey Lane.
The closure will be in effect between 27th and 29th May 2026.

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, MILTON KEYNES) (40 MPH AND 50 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026 (No.2) (Reference TRO – 474)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1), (2), (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be:
To introduce 50mph speed restrictions along parts of Dansteed Way (H4), Portway (H5) and Chaffron Way (H7);
To introduce a 50mph speed restriction along parts of Grafton Street (V6), which will link to the existing 50mph speed restriction on the south-eastbound carriageway on Grafton Street between Dansteed Way (H4) and Portway (H5).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1), (2), (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be:
To extend the existing 40mph speed restrictions on High Street, Haversham to Haversham Road;
To introduce a 40mph speed restriction on Little Linford Lane, Haversham;
To revoke the existing 2013 40mph speed restriction traffic regulation Order on High Street, Haversham.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1), (2), (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The Council is proposing to reduce the speed limit along part of B526 from national to 40mph as part of a road safety scheme. The affected length of road is within Milton Keynes and extends into West Northamptonshire.
The Council is working in collaboration with West Northamptonshire Council who will be proposing the 40mph along B526 within their boundary at the same time through a separate notice of proposal.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce a 40mph speed restriction on B526 from Stoke Goldington to the shared boundary line with West Northamptonshire.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1), 2(2) and 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce a prohibition of stopping except taxis restriction (Taxi Rank) along part of Lower Twelfth Street in Central Milton Keynes.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) along parts of Walbank Grove, Welsummer Grove and Butcher Lane in Shenley Brook End.
