What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Beggars Lane between its junction with Blue Ball Hill and its junction with a point adjacent ‘Romans’
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A (Access only)
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Blue Ball Hill between its junction with St Johns Street and its junction with a point adjacent no.25
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Blue Ball Hill, Water Lane, Durngate, North Walls, Upper Brook Street, Friarsgate, Eastgate Street, High Street, Bridge Street, St Johns Street, Blue Ball Hill
DURATION OF ORDER: from 8th June 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 5 days, working full time on Beggars Lane & between 09:30-16:00 on Blue Ball Hill) The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Centercomms Ltd to carry out excavation works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: alina.gruia@centercomms.co.uk Centercomms Ltd will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
