Temporary Traffic Management Order - (Waldegrave Road, Dagenham) (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 - Notice Of Intent
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate clearing blockage for gully sucking, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Monday 8 June 2026. The works expected for:
- Clearing blockage for gully sucking to take 1 day to complete. Completion date estimated as Monday 8 June 2026 with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm.
However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.
3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily:-
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for Marshalled Access) on Waldegrave Road, both sides, from its junction with Green Lane for 40 metres in a southerly direction.
- Suspend the Payment Parking (TC2) Mon - Sat 8:00am-6:30pm Max stay 4hrs No return within 2hrs/Resident Permit Holders Only Zone CH Mon - Fri 8:30am – 5:30pm bay on Waldegrave Road, west side, from a point 12 metres south of its junction with Green Lane for 27 metres in a southerly direction.
- Suspend the One-Way Traffic along Waldegrave Road from its junction with Green Lane to its junction with Winterbourne Road, allowing for two-way traffic.
4. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:
- Via Green Lane (A1083), Bennett’s Castle Lane (B191), Winterbourne Road, Waldegrave Road and Vice Versa.
- Via Alleyndale Road, Donne Road, Waldegrave Road, Winterbourne Road, Burnside Road and Green Lane (A1083).
