What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(BARTON ROAD, PULLOXHILL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Barton Road, Pulloxhill from the side of Collage Barn to s/0 The Hay Wain.
This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement and cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 13 to 14 July between the hours of 0800 and 1800.
The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Flitton Rd, Silsoe Rd, Ampthill Rd, High St, Barton Rd, A6, Barton Rd and Vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 13 July 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Avidety – 08454747999.
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(HIGH STREET, GRAVENHURST)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of High Street, Gravenhurst outside number 24.
This temporary closure is required to enable defect repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 16 to 18 June 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via Campton rd, Greenway, A507, Clophill Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 16 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Biggleswade Road, Upper Caldecote between Marshalls Way and the A1.
This temporary closure is required to enable cabling and jointing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 18 June 2026. Between the hours of 0930 and 1530. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route will be via A1, Bedford Rd, Hitchin Rd, Brook End, Vinegar Hill, Biggleswade Rd and vice versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Hanscombe End Rd, Shillington outside Hanscombe End Farm.
This temporary closure is required to enable mains fitting renewal work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 2 to 4 June 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via Hillfoot Rd, Church St, High Rd, Hanscombe End Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 2 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Hills End, Eversholt between numbers 54/55 to jct with Tyrells End.
This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement and overhead cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 2 June 2026 between the hours of 0800am and 1800pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via C100, Tyrells End and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on 1 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 2 to 4 June 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Katherines Garden, Ampthill outside numbers 1 to 4.
This temporary closure is required to enable mains installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 2 to 15 June 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
The Order will come into operation on 2 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the length of Public Bridleway No. 32, Maulden (unrecorded) which extends from George Street at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0561 3802 in a generally east-north-easterly direction for approximately 44 metres along an alleyway to OS GR TL 0565 3805 then continues in a north-easterly direction for approximately 4 metres to OS GR TL 0565 3805 then continues in a generally east-north-easterly direction for approximately 126 metres to OS GR TL 0576 3810 then continues in a generally east-north-easterly direction for approximately 83 metres to OS GR TL 0584 3814 then continues in a generally northerly direction for approximately 66 metres to OS GR TL 0586 3820 then continues in a generally north-north-easterly direction for approximately 238 metres to OS GR TL 0598 3841.
This temporary closure is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public when on horseback or leading a horse or cycling along the obstructed parts of the bridleway. The closure is expected to take place from 26 May 2026 for up to six months.
There is no alternative route for bridleway users while the closure is in operation.

(HAYNES: BRIDLEWAY NO. 19 AND PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 19)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the lengths of:
I. Public Bridleway No. 19, Haynes which extends from its junction with Church End Road at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0891 4110 in a generally south-south-westerly direction for approximately 615 metres to its junction with Public Footpath No. 19, Haynes at OS GR TL 0864 4056.
II. Public Footpath No. 19, Haynes which extends from its junction with Public Bridleway No. 19, Haynes at OS GR TL 0864 4056 in a generally southerly then south-westerly direction for approximately 499 metres to its junction with Great Lane at OS GR TL 0848 4014.
These temporary closures are required whilst work is carried out to repair a bridge. The closures are expected to take place from 2 June 2026 for up to six months.
There is no alternative route for footpath or bridleway users while the closure is in operation.
