The Newham (Disabled Persons) (Community Parking) (Special Parking Area) (No. 1, 2007) - (Amendment No. ) Order 202 - The Newham (Free Parking Places) (No. 1, 2012) (Amendment No. ) Order 202 - The Newham (Little Ilford) (Shared Use Parking Places) (No. 1, 2017) (Amendment No. ) Order 202 - The Newham (Loading Bays) (No. 1, 2000) (Amendment No. ) Order 202 - The Newham (Manor Park) (Parking Places) (No. 1, 2014) (Amendment No. ) Order 202 - The Newham (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. ) Order 202

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham (‘the Council’) proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:-
(a) relocate a community Disabled Parking Place operating from 8:00am to 8:00pm on all days with a maximum stay of 3 hours and no return within 2 hours, on the south-west side of Sixth Avenue to a point approximately 11.6 metres south of the southern kerb-line of Romford Road, extending southward for 6.6 metres;
(b) introduce a new paid for parking space, operating on all days from 9:00am to 5:00pm with a maximum stay of 2 hours and no return within 1 hour, on the south-west side of Salisbury Road (adjacent to the north-eastern flank wall of No. 564 Romford Road);
(c) introduce a new paid for parking space, operating Monday to Saturday from 7:00am to 7:00pm with a maximum stay of 30 minutes and no return within 1 hour, on the south-west side of Sixth Avenue from a point approximately 18.2 metres south of the southern kerb-line of Romford Road, southward for 21.9 metres;
(d) introduce new loading bays operating Monday to Saturday 7:00am to 7:00pm with a maximum stay of 30 minutes and no return within 1 hour:
(i) on the south side of Romford Road outside Nos. 518-524 Romford Road (a total length of 16 metres);
(ii) on the south-east side of Romford Road, from a point 3.7 metres west of the eastern boundary wall of No. 524 Romford Road westward for a distance of 16 metres;
(iii) on the north-east side of Salisbury Road, from a point 10.6 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Romford Road south-eastward for a distance of 20 metres;
(iv) on the south-west side of Colchester Avenue, adjacent to the north-eastern flank wall of No. 931 Romford Road (a total length of 10 metres); and
(v) on the south-west side of Romford Road outside Nos. 778-786 Romford Road;
(e) introduce waiting and loading restrictions operating ‘at any time’ (double yellow lines and double kerb-blips):
(i) on the north-west side of Romford Road from No. 959a Romford Road to a point approximately 10 metres north-east of No. 971 Romford Road; and
(ii) on the south-east side of Romford Road, from a point approximately 3.8 metres north-east of Sixth Avenue, south-westward for approximately 21.5 metres;
(f) extend the waiting and loading restrictions operating ‘at any time’ (double yellow lines and double kerb-blips):
(i) on the west side of Rosedale Road (adjacent to the eastern flank wall of No. 462 Romford Road) southward by 3.1 metres;
(ii) on the west side of Birchdale Road (adjacent to the eastern flank wall of No. 482 Romford Road) southward by 3.6 metres;
(iii) on the west side of Nigel Road (adjacent to the eastern flank wall of No. 502 Romford Road) southward by 6 metres;
(iv) on the west side of Shrewsbury Road (adjacent to the eastern flank wall of No. 528 Romford Road) southward by 6.6 metres;
(v) on the south-west side of Colchester Avenue (adjacent to the north-eastern flank wall of No. 931 Romford Road) north-westward by 0.6 metres;
(vi) on the south-west side of Sixth Avenue (opposite the western flank wall of No. 778 Romford Road, southward by 3.6 metres; and
(vii) on the north-east side of Sixth Avenue (adjacent to the western flank wall of No. 778 Romford Road) southward by 3.1 metres;

For all locations described in the paragraphs above, the proposed changes would replace the existing restrictions at those locations.

3. FURTHER NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council, in pursuance of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Highways Act 1980 (Section 90A-90F) proposes to:
(a) install pedestrian crossings sited on raised tables (road humps) to aid pedestrians across the cycle track at the following locations:

Outside Nos. 508-510; No. 534; Nos. 563-565; No. 577; No. 776 and Nos. 862-864.

The pedestrian crossings will not have belisha beacons or zig-zag markings.

(b) relocate the existing zebra crossing outside No. 532 Romford Road by approximately 4.6 metres eastward. The new zig-zag markings will extend approximately 17.6 metres east of the crossing and approximately 24 metres west of the crossing. The crossing would be situated on a new raised table.

The raised tables will be no more than 10 metres in length, be no more than 100 mm in height and the ramps on each side would have a gradient of approximately 1 in 20.

6. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and received by 10 June 2026. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. 7. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any letter or email sent to the Council in response to this Notice may be subject to publication or disclosure, or both, including communication to other persons affected.
