GORCHYMYN CEFNFFORDD YR A479 (PARC GLAN-WYSG I
FRONLLYS, POWYS) (GWAHARDD TRAFFIG DROS DRO) 2026
MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU wedi gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984. Mae angen y Gorchymyn er mwyn gwneud gwaith ar gefnffordd yr A479, neu gerllaw iddi, rhwng Parc Glan-wysg a Bronllys, Powys.

Effaith y Gorchymyn yw gwahardd traffig dros dro (cerbydau, beicwyr, cerddwyr, marchogion a da byw) rhag mynd ar y darn o’r A479 sy’n ymestyn o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r A40 ym Mharc Glan-wysg hyd at y gyffordd gylchfan â’r A438 ym Mronllys.

Y llwybr arall ar gyfer traffig trwodd tua’r de yw mynd tua’r gorllewin ar hyd yr A438 i Bont-y-bat, tua’r de-orllewin ar hyd yr A470 i Aberhonddu a thua’r de-ddwyrain ar hyd yr A40 hyd at gyffordd yr A40/A479 yn Nant-y-ffin: i’r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer cerbydau sy’n teithio tua’r gogledd. Bydd gweithredwyr rheoli traffig yn rheoli trefniadau mynediad ar gyfer preswylwyr a thraffig lleol hyd at y mannau cau.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 1 Mehefin 2026. Disgwylir y bydd y gwaharddiad yn weithredol yn ysbeidiol ac yn ystod y dydd yn bennaf (08:00 – 18:00 o’r gloch) yn unol â rhaglen dreigl a reolir o 1 – 5 Mehefin 2026, neu hyd nes y caiff yr arwyddion traffig dros dro ar gyfer pob cyfnod gwaith eu symud ymaith yn barhaol.

Dim ond yn ystod y cyfnod a bennir uchod y disgwylir i’r Gorchymyn fod mewn grym. Er hynny, bydd yn parhau’n ddilys am gyfnod o 6 mis ar y mwyaf rhag ofn y bydd angen ailamserlennu’r gwaith neu wneud gwaith canlyniadol neu waith arall. Bydd hysbysiad am unrhyw newidiadau i’r amseroedd a’r dyddiadau yn cael ei arddangos cyn dechrau unrhyw waith.

Gellir gweld copi o’r Gorchymyn a’r Hysbysiad ar wefan Llywodraeth Cymru ar https://llyw.cymru/gorchmynion-ffyrdd.

THE A479 TRUNK ROAD (GLANUSK PARK TO BRONLLYS, POWYS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

THE WELSH MINISTERS have made an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to undertake works on or near the A479 trunk road between Glanusk Park and Bronllys, Powys.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all traffic (vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, equestrians and livestock) from proceeding on the length of the A479 trunk road that extends from the centre-point of its junction with the A40 at Glanusk Park to the roundabout junction with the A438 at Bronllys.

The alternative route for southbound through traffic is via the westbound A438 to Pont-y-bat, south-westbound A470 to Brecon and south-eastbound A40 to the A40/A479 junction at Nantyffin: vice versa for northbound vehicles. Traffic management operatives will manage access arrangements for residents and local traffic up to the points of closure.

The Order comes into force on 1 June 2026. The temporary prohibition is expected to operate intermittently and mostly during the daytime (08:00 – 18:00 hours) under controlled rolling sectional closures from 1 – 5 June 2026, or until the temporary traffic signs for each period of works are permanently removed.

Although the Order is only expected to be in force during the period specified above it will remain valid for a maximum period of 6 months, as a contingency, should the work need to be rescheduled or consequential or other work is required. Notice of any changes to times and dates will be displayed before any work begins.

A copy of the Order and Notice can be viewed on the Welsh Government’s website at https://gov.wales/road-orders.
