What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION (14.1)

The council of the London Borough of Enfield have made the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.

DONKEY LANE EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Event

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on 23 May 2026 for 2 days or until the event has ended.

The general effect of the Order will be to;

• Suspend parking on the east side, from the junction with Carterhatch Lane; and

• Entry only towards Enfield Playing fields

CROYLAND ROAD, MILLBROOK ROAD, BEAMISH ROAD N9

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time and on a phased basis” on 21 May 2026 for 13 months or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to;

Croyland Road

• close this road and suspend parking between its junction with Hertford Road and Bury Street N9; and

Millbrook Road

• close this road and suspend parking between its junction with Bury Street and Croyland Road; and

Beamish Road

• close this road and suspend parking between its junction with Kenwood Road and Millbrook Road.

BAKER STREET EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on 22 May 2026 for 13 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to;

• suspend parking on this road, between Nos 304-310; and

• no left turn into Lancaster Road from Baker Street.

HUXLEY ROAD N18

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on 25 May 2026 for 7 months or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to suspend parking, at its junction with Windmill Road, eastwards for approximately 40m on both sides of the road.

GARDENIA ROAD, WELLINGTON ROAD EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on 26 May 2026 for 3 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to;

Gardenia Road

• close this road and suspend parking from its junction with Wellington Road, westwards for approximately 40m; and

Wellington Road

• suspend parking on the west side, between Nos 150-132/130; and

• suspend parking on the east side, from No.159, northwards to outside Bush Hill Park methodist Church, approximately 120m.

PARSONAGE LANE, BAKER STREET EN2

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on 26 May 2026 for 4 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to;

Parsonage Lane

• close this road between its junction with Baker Street and No.168 Parsonage Lane.; and

Baker Street

• no left turn from Baker Street into Parsonage Lane; and

• no right turn from Baker Street into Parsonage Lane

NEW RIVER CRESCENT N13

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on 26 May 2026 for 4 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to close this road and suspend parking between Nos 19/17-27/29 on both sides of the road.

ACCESS ROAD FROM ENFIELD ROAD TO 85-111 ENFIELD ROAD EN2

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on 26 May 2026 for 4 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to close this road and suspend parking between Nos 85-111, on both sides of the road.

The general effect of the Order will be;

Churchbury Lane

• to close this road at its junction with Churchbury Lane and suspend parking between No.s 203-193, on both sides of the road; and

Tenniswood Road

• suspend parking, south side, between No.s 38-50/52.

THE LARCHES, FIRSCROFT N13

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on 27 May 2026 for 3 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to;

The Larches

• suspend parking between No.s 59/57-73/75, and No.s 90/88-86/84; and

Firscroft

• suspend parking from its junction with The Larches, northside for approximately 35 metres.

CUCKOO HALL LANE, BEATRICE ROAD, SCARBOROUGH ROAD, TURIN ROAD N9

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on 26 May 2026 for 16 weeks or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to;

Cuckoo Hall Lane

• close this road and suspend parking between its junction with Hertford Road N9 and Nightingale Road.

Beatrice Road

• close this road and suspend parking at its junction with Cuckoo Hall Lane N9 for approximately 10m on both sides of the road.

Scarborough Road

• close this road and suspend parking at its junction with Cuckoo Hall Lane for approximately 10m on both sides of the road.

Turin Road

• close this road and suspend parking at its junction with Cuckoo Hall Lane for approximately 10m on both sides of the road.

RAYNHAM ROAD, SANDAL ROAD, WAKEFIELD STREET, CLARENDON ROAD, CLAREMONT ROAD, STOCKTON ROAD, YORK ROAD AND UPTON ROAD N18

Reason for 14(1) Order – Public Safety

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on 20 May 2026 for 18 months or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to;

Raynham Road

• close this road and suspend parking from the east end of Raynham Road to its junction with Raynham Avenue on both sides of the road; and

• suspend parking, north side from its junction with Wakefield Street to its junction with Raynham Avenue; and

Sandal Road

• suspend parking from a point outside No.s 44/46 for approximately 10m either side; and

Wakefield Street

• suspend parking from a point outside No.s 83/85 for approximately 10m either side; and

Clarendon Road

• suspend parking from a point outside No.s 35/37 for approximately 10m, either side; and

• suspend parking from a point outside No.s 2/2B for approximately 15m either side; and

Claremont Road

• suspend parking from a point outside No.s 38/40 approximately 5m either side; and

Stockton Road

• suspend parking from a point between No.s 43/41 to a point outside No. 29 for approximately 45m; and

York Road

• suspend parking from a point outside No. 2, southwards for approximately 15m; and on the eastside, between No.s 37-45/47; and

Upton Road

• suspend parking from a point outside No.s 71/73 for approximately 10m either side and on the south side, from its junction with Woolmer Road, eastwards for approximately 20m.

CENTRAL AVENUE, BARNARD ROAD, GOUGH ROAD EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Crane Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on any one of the following dates;

27th May 2026,

14th July 2026, or

27th October 2026,

for 10 days until works are completed.

NOTE:

[This notice supersedes the notice incorrectly titled Central Avenue, Barnard Road EN1, published on 13th May 2026, which also contained typographical errors which have now been corrected.]

The general effect of the Order will be to;

Central Avenue

• close this road between No. 1-20 for approximately 100m westwards and at its junction with Barnard Road for approximately 20m; and

Barnard Road

• to close this road at its junction with Central Avenue for approximately 20m

Gough Road

• to close this road at its junction with Central Avenue for approximately 20m
