LONDON BOROUGH OF NEWHAM

The Newham (Prescribed Routes) (No.* ) Traffic Order 202* - The Newham (Stratford North West) (Parking Places) - (No. 1, 2010) (Amendment No.* ) Order 202* - The Newham (Waiting and Loading Restriction) - (Amendment No.* ) Order 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham (‘the Council’) proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be:-
(a) to extend in length the road closure to all motorised vehicles at the eastern end of Colegrave Road at its junction with Dunmow Road, with exemptions for pedal cycles, emergency vehicles, authorised Borough refuse vehicles, highway and utilities maintenance vehicles and universal postal service vehicles;
(b) to remove approximately 6.7 metres of permit holder parking in Colegrave Road, adjacent to No. 37B Dunmow Road and replace it with waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ (double yellow lines) and;
(c) to install further double yellow line waiting restrictions in Colegrave Road at the western end of the extended closure point to facilitate safe turning.

3. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council, in accordance with the provisions of sections 90A to 90F of the Highways Act 1980, intend to install a new raised table (road hump) in Colegrave Road, so that it extends south-westwards for a distance of 10.58 metres from the south-western kerb-line of Dunmow Road, inclusive of its ramps on each side. The raised table would be no more than 100 mm in height, flush with the existing kerb-lines, with the ramps on each side having a gradient of approximately 1 in 20.

5. Documents and a plan giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders can be made available during normal office hours on Monday to Friday by emailing: traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk, by telephoning 020 3373 6415, or inspected (by prior appointment – please telephone the above number) at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, until six weeks after the date on which the Orders are made or until the proposed Orders are withdrawn, as appropriate.

6. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders and other measures must be made in writing and received by 10 June 2026. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. 7. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any letter or e-mail sent to the Council in response to this Notice may be subject to publication or disclosure, or both, including communication to other persons affected.
