(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DODDS LANE, GREAT GADDESDEN) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Dodds Lane, Great Gaddesden from its junction with Piccotts End Road north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 545m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Piccotts End, A4147 Link Road, St Agnells Lane, Cupid Green Lane and Dodds Lane.
The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 8 June 2026 and will be valid for a
period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON HIGH STREET, MARKYATE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Markyate from its junction with Buckwood Road south eastwards to its junction with William Street, a distance of approximately 147m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via High Street, A5183 Dunstable Road, London Road and High Street.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

An alternative route will be via A4147 Maylands Avenue and Mark Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of 2U2033 (unnamed road), Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Moor End Road south westwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 189m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Moor End Road, A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road and 2U2033 (unnamed road).
The Order is needed because crane lifting works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Station Road/Primrose Hill/Railway Terrace, Kings Langley and Lower Road, Gade/Nash Mills from its junction with Home Park Mill Link north westwards to its junction with Bunkers Lane, a distance of approximately 2720m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Home Park Mill Link, A4251 (Watford Road/ High Street/Hempstead Road/London Road), A414 (Two Waters Way/Two Waters Road), Lawn Lane and Belswains Lane.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):1. that length of The Common/Water End Road, Potten End from a point 30m north east of its junction with Church Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 60m.
An alternative route will be via Water End Road, Potten End Hill, B440
Leighton Buzzard Road, A414 (Two Waters Road/Two Waters Way), A41 (Two
Waters Way/unnamed road), A4251 (London Road/High Street/Gossoms End), Billet Lane, Bridgewater Road, Brownlow Road, New Road and The Common. 2. that length of Church Lane, Potten End from its junction with Water End Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via Water End Road, The Front and Church Road. 3. that length of The Green, Potten End from its junction with The Common south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via The Common, Hempstead Lane and The Green. The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 23 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 9 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
