Leicester City Council (Local Environmental Works 31) (Various Schemes) (Parking Consolidation 2025 Amendment No.###) Traffic Regulation Order 2026 (TMP1031)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN Leicester City Council (“the Council”) proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following Order:-
• To introduce No Waiting at Any Time on sections of; Great Meadow Road, Shaefer Court, St Saviours Road, Skampton Road, Harringworth Road, Goodwood Cresent, Evington Lane, Coplow Avenue, Lyncote Road, Bramcote Road & Palmerston Boulevard.
• To revoke a section of No Waiting at Any Time on Trafford Road,
• To introduce a section of School Keep Clear - No stopping Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm on St Saviours Road & Whinchat Road.
• To amend a section of existing Resident Permit Holders Only (Zone E) on Bartholomew Street.
• To introduce General Parking Bays on Craighill Road.
A COPY of the proposed Order, the relevant plan, the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and extract copies of the Order being amended may be seen at Leicester Council’s website: leicester.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders or leicester.traffweb.app/traffweb/2/PublicConsultation.
OBJECTIONS to the proposed Order should be made in writing by visiting the public consultation web site by visiting leicester.traffweb.app/traffweb/2/PublicConsultation.
Alternatively, via e-mail; TROteam@leicester.gov.uk, or by post to “TRO Team, Leicester City Council, City Hall, 115, Charles St, Leicester, LE1 1FZ”. Any objections stating the grounds on which they are made and quoting the ref. TMP1031 - LEW31 must be received by 9th day of June 2026.
The formal reason for this Order is to ensure the safe and expeditious movement of traffic which includes pedestrians and to preserve or improve the amenities of the area through which the roads run.
