NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER
IN THE NEW FERRY AREA 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the above order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable proposed works to be executed on or near to roads specified in the proposed order (having already advertised notice of intent).
The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.
Woodhead Street (Temporary Prohibition New Ferry Order 2026
The effect of this order will be to close Woodhead Street, New Ferry at its junction with New Chester Road to a point which it meets the rear of 13 and 15 Bebington Road. In addition, the existing one-way restriction between 13 and 15 Bebington Road to be revoked.
The order will not prevent access to the rear of the properties of Bebington Road from where Woodhead Street meets Bebington Road.
Maximum Duration of the order: From 15 January 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway.

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER
IN THE BIRKENHEAD AREA 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the above order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable proposed works to be executed on or near the roads specified in the proposed order (having already advertised notice of intent).
The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.
Milton Road East (Temporary Road Closure) Birkenhead Order 2026
The effect of this order will be to close Milton Road East, Birkenhead at its junction with Derby Road for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.
Alternative Route: Derby Road, Charlebone Street, Laurel Road.
Maximum Duration of the order: From 26 May 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 15 June 2026.

IN THE BROMBOROUGH AREA 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable works on or near the roads specified in the proposed order to take place.
The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.
Riverwood Road (Temporary Road Closure) Bromborough Order 2026
The effect of this order will be to close Riverwood Road, Bromborough at its junction with Power Road to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.
Alternative Route: Old Hall Road, Plantation Road, Riverview Road.
Maximum Duration of the order: From 01 June 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 26 June 2026.

IN THE BIRKENHEAD AREA 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable works on or near the roads specified in the proposed order to take place.
The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.
Chestnut Grove (Temporary Road Closure) Birkenhead Order 2026
The effect of this order will be to close Chestnut Grove, Birkenhead from a point 20 metres from its junction with Derby Road for its full extent to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.
Alternative Route: Resident access only.
Maximum Duration of the order: From 01 June 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 19 June 2026.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 16A
GROSVENOR ROAD NEW BRIGHTON FOOD AND FARMERS MARKET SPECIAL EVENT ORDER 2026
Whereas Wirral Borough Council are satisfied that the use of roads listed below should be restricted to facilitate the above special event and to enable it to take place safely.
NOW THEREFORE the Council in exercise of its powers under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers having satisfied itself that it is not reasonably practicable for the event to be held without being on this road intends to make an Order in the following terms:
No person shall cause any vehicle to enter or proceed along the lengths listed below:
Grosvenor Road, New Brighton from its junction with Victoria Road to its junction with Hope Street.
Alternative routes for diverted vehicular traffic will be signed accordingly.
The Order will not prevent reasonable access at any time for pedestrians to premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates nor any premises accessible only to pedestrians from such a road.
This Order will be known as the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral Grosvenor Road New Brighton Food and Farmers Market Special Event Order 2026 and shall come into operation on 6 June, 4 July, 1 August, and 5 December 2026 and apply from 07:00am until 18:00pm on those days only.

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER IN THE WIRRAL COUNCIL AREA 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the following Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers to enable Wirral Council to complete the resurfacing of roads on or near the roads specified in the proposed order.
The effects of the order will be to prohibit traffic proceeding along the following lengths listed below.
The roads will be temporarily closed (in part or in full as required) for a period of time as determined necessary to enable the Council to carry out its resurfacing programme. All junctions adjoining the below roads will be temporarily closed when necessary.

A41 New Chester Road, Bromborough from its junction with Marine Drive to its junction with Pool Lane
A41 New Chester Road, Bromborough from a point 50m north from its junction with Pool Lane for a distance of 110m in a southerly direction
A41 New Chester Road, Bromborough closed at its junction with Bromborough Village Road, and Cambridge Road closed at its junction with Bromborough Village Road, and New Chester Road closed in a northbound direction at its junction with Bromborough Village Road for distance of 50m
A41 New Ferry By-pass, Bromborough southbound carriageway from its junction with Bolton Road roundabout for a distance of 60m in a northern direction
A540 Grange Road, West Kirby from the east side of its junction with Dee Lane to the east side of its junction with Yewtree Lane
A551 Wallasey Road, Wallasey from the east side of its junction with Rugby Road to the west side of its junction with Neville Road
