What is happening?
BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL
(MILL LANE, SANDHURST) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council has made an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:
a) Any vehicle from traveling along Mill Lane, Sandhurst between Ambarrow Lane and the borough boundary.
The alternative route for this closure is: Lower Church Road, A321 High Street, Yateley Road, B3272 Reading Road, Mill Lane and this route reversed.
The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while the Highway Authority carry out carriageway patching works.
The proposed Order will come into operation on the 22nd May 2026, and its maximum duration will be 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the road closure will be in place from 09:30 until 15:30 on 22nd May 2026
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
