What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OXFORD STREET AND BEACONSFIELD STREET, LONG EATON

WHEN: 08 June to 03 July 2026
WHERE: Oxford Street, Long Eaton from the jct. with Market Place for approx. 30m, and Beaconsfield Street, Long Eaton from the jct. of Tamworth Road, for approx. 25m.
REASON: To facilitate footway, carriageway and drainage works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Diversion 1 Oxford Street, Market Place, Nottingham Road, Derby Road, Fletcher Street. Diversion 2 Oxford Street, Fletcher Street, Regent Street. Diversion Beaconsfield Street, Salisbury Street, Claye Street and vice versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
