What is happening?
CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
St Ives Road A141, Wyton On The Hill; Huntingdon Northern Bypass A141 & The Wyton Road B1514, Hartford; Banks End A1123, Wyton Temporary 40mph & 30mph Speed Limit – Order 2026-20233
Is to impose a 40mph & 30mph speed limit along St Ives Road A141, Wyton On The Hill; Huntingdon Northern Bypass A141 & The Wyton Road B1514, Hartford; Banks End A1123, Wyton as lies between B1514 & Eastbound layby; B1514 & 200m north; A141 & Owl Way; A141 & Bus Lane respectively.
The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate trial holes & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/7/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/1/28 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs & 06:00hrs 3/7 to 8/7/26.
Abbots Ripton Road, Great Stukeley Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20234
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Abbots Ripton Road, Great Stukeley as lies between The Stukeleys Bridleway 10 & A141.
The alternative route for vehicles is via: Huntingdon Rd, Abbots Ripton; B1090; Sapley Rd, Kings Ripton; Kings Ripton Rd, Sapley; A141 & vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate trial holes & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 9/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 8/12/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs & 06:00hrs 9/6 to 10/6/26.
Lucks Lane, Buckden Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20236
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Lucks Ln, Buckden as lies between No. 38 & Cranfield Way.
The alternative route for vehicles is via: High St, Buckden; Church St; Mill Rd; Leadens Ln; Stirtloe Ln; Lucks Ln & vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 30/11/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 00:00hrs & 05:00hrs 1/6 to 5/6/26.
Station Lane, Offord Cluny Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20238
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Lane, Offord Cluny as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.
The alternative route for vehicles is via: B1043; Priory Hill Rd, St Neots; Hawkesden Rd; Station Rd; Cromwell Rd; B1049; A428; A1; High St, Buckden & vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 21/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 20/12/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 01:50hrs to 07:45hrs on 21/6/26.
Holme Fen, Holme Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20239
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Holme Fen, Holme as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.
The alternative route for vehicles is via: Holme Fen, Holme; New Long Drove; B660; Yaxley Rd; Hod Fen Drove & vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 21/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 20/12/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 01:50hrs & 08:45hrs on 21/6/26.
Footpath Castle Gardens, Kimbolton Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2026-20384
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath Castle Gardens, Kimbolton as lies between Nos. 51 & 71.
The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 30/6/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1/6 & 10/6/26.
Coldhams Crescent Footpath, Huntingdon Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2026-20387
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Coldhams Crescent Footpath, Huntingdon as lies between Coldhams Crescent & American Lane.
The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate stop tap replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 9/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 8/12/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 9/6 & 11/6/26.
Fen Road, Conington Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20421
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fen Road, Conington as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 12/12/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 23:30hrs 13/6 & 07:30hrs 14/6/26
Warners Drove, Somersham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20426
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Warners Drove, Somersham as lies between No. 3 and Parkhall Road.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 15/6/26 and continue until these works have finished or on the 14/12/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 15/6/26.
The Briars, Sawtry Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20436
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along The Briars, Sawtry as lies between No.12 & Middlefield Road.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate lay fibre ducting & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 22/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 21/12/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 22/6 & 26/6/26.
Waresley Road, Waresley Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-0446
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Waresley Road, Waresley as lies between Waresley Wood car park & Waresley Road, Great Gransden.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate communication pipe repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 30/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 29/12/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 30/6 & 2/7/26.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Great Whyte, Ramsey as lies between Jones Court & Marriotts Yard.
The alternative route for vehicles is via: Great Whyte, B1040, New Rd & vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 30/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 29/12/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 30/6 & 2/7/26.
Buckworth Road, Barham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20485
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Buckworth Road, Barham as lies between Fenhurst and Church House.
The alternative route for vehicles is via: Barham Rd; Church Rd; Hamerton Rd; Buckworth Rd, Alconbury Weston; Barham Rd; Alconbury Weston St, Buckworth; Alconbury Weston Ln, Barham; Alconbury Rd, Woolley; Barham Rd; The Village, Barham and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate section 278 and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 8/6/26 and continue until these works have finished or on the 7/12/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 8/6 and 30/6/26.
Bluntisham Footpath 16, Bluntisham Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2026-20487
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Bluntisham Footpath 16, Bluntisham as lies between Bluntisham Footpath 3 & Over Footpath 15.
The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate replacement of sluice gates & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/12/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/6/26 & 5/12/26.
London Road A1096 & Harrison Way A1096, Fenstanton Temporary 40mph & 30mph Speed Limit – Order 2026-20518
Is to impose a 40mph & 30mph speed limit along London Road A1096 & Harrison Way A1096, Fenstanton as lies between Greenfields & Harrison Way A1096, St Ives.
The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate S278 & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 28/5/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 27/11/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 28/5 & 25/6/26.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
