(Prohibition of Overtaking) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that on 13th May 2026 Cambridgeshire County Council made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of this is to introduce a new 40mph speed limit on lengths of Cherry Hinton Road, Lime Kiln Road and Worts Causeway; and a prohibition of overtaking on lengths of Lime Kiln Road.
To request a copy of the Orders, which come into operation on 22nd May 2026, or other documents please telephone 0345 045 5212 or e-mail to policyandregulation@cambridgeshire.gov.uk.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the 13th May 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
