What is happening?

NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL
(East Common Lane, Scunthorpe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

On 1st April 2026, North Lincolnshire Council made an Order, the effect of which prohibits any vehicle from proceeding along East Common Lane, Scunthorpe. This Order took effect on 7th April 2026 and will be effective until 6th October 2027. Under this same Order, it is now proposed to undertake further works (Severn Trent Water to excavate and build new specialist manhole onto existing sewer network) necessitating the closure of East Common Lane from 7.30am 8th June-5.30pm 10th July 2026 (but varied, if necessary, due to any unforeseen circumstances).

The diversion is Queensway (A18), Grange Lane North (B1502) and reverse.
