EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL

PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 178 MAREHAM LE FEN PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above Order, made by East Lindsey District Council, on 22 April 2026 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the whole width of Public Footpath No.178 in the parish of Mareham Le Fen running from Public Footpath No.178 at OSGR TF 2751 6091 (A) in a generally west south westerly direction for approximately 36 metres to the public highway known as Main Street at OSGR TF 2750 6088 (B). The total length of footpath to be diverted is approximately 36 metres as shown between points A-B on Order drawing numbered 2040/25/FED/01 TO AN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE in the parish of Mareham Le Fen to be a 2 metre wide footpath running from Public Footpath No.178 at OSGR TF 2751 6091 (A) in a generally south south easterly direction for approximately 36 metres to meet the public highway known as Main Street at OSGR TF 2752 6088 (C). The total length of footpath to be added is approximately 36 metres as shown between points A-C on Order drawing numbered 2040/25/FED/01

A copy of the Order and the Order drawing have been placed and may be seen during office hours at Main Reception, East Lindsey District Council, The Hub and Willow House, Mareham Road, Horncastle, Lincolnshire, LN9 6PH. A copy of the Order and drawing may also be viewed online (from 20 May 2026 until 18 June 2026) on the District Councils planning pages, ref: 02040/25/FED.

Any representation about or objection to the Order, clearly stating the grounds on which it is made, may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Michelle Walker, East Lindsey District Council, The Hub and Willow House, Mareham Road, Horncastle, Lincolnshire, LN9 6PH (e-mail: michelle.walker@e-lindsey.gov.uk) not later than 18 June 2026. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, East Lindsey District Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. Any representations or objections that have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation.
