Temporary Prohibition of Right Turn Order 2026
On 20 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles that are travelling eastwards on Station Approach (X2131) Haslemere from turning right into Lower Road (B2131) Haslemere. Alternative Route: (B2131) Lower Street, (A286) Lower Street, (A286) High Street, (A286) Lower Street, and (B2131) Lower Street. This Order is required to enable SGN to safely allow traffic to flow while emergency gas mains replacement works are taking place and because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road. It is anticipated that the remedial works will be carried out over 8 weeks, within the 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 27 May 2026 and continues in force the provisions imposed by “The Surrey County Council B2131 Lower Street, Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2026” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 08 May 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibition, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
Runwick Lane (D5328) Runwick
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 15 May 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Runwick Lane (D5328) Runwick.
Alternative route – 1. Runwick Lane, Clarks Hill, Dippenhall Road and Old Farnham Lane, or this route in reverse. 2. Runwick Lane, A31, B3228, Crondall Lane, Dippenhall Road and Clarks Hill, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate duct laying and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 3 phases during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 June 2026 for 3 weeks between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Hyde Lane (D132) Churt
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 15 May 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hyde Lane (D132) Churt as extends the access for “High Barn” to the access for “Hyde Orchards”.
Alternative route – Tilford Road, Thursley Road, Pitch Place, Sailors Lane and Hyde Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable SSEN to facilitate vegetation removal and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 June 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
D5505 Tyndalls, Hindhead
Temporary Closure Order 2026
On 20 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of D5505 Tyndalls, Hindhead that extends from the south-western property boundary of “No.8 Tyndalls”, to the south-eastern property boundary of “No.9 Tyndalls”. This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 5 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated may be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. There is no applicable alternative route however access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times by means of road plates. Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via a temporary walkway.
Bishops Road (D5353) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bishops Road (D5353) Farnham as extends from its junction with Folly Lane North (D5353) to the access road for 6A to 12 Bishops Road.
Alternative route – Folly Lane North, Hope Lane and Bishops Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable of Durkin and Sons to facilitate network repairs to fix outages for residents and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 June 2026 for 2 weeks between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
A287 Downing Street, Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A287 Downing Street, Farnham which extends from its junction with West Street to its junction with Upper Church Lane and any parts thereof. This Order is required to enable South East Water to facilitate connection works and/or water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8pm and 6am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 8 June 2026. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for and emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Alternative Route – Firgrove Hill, Great Austins, Tilford Road, Station Hill, A31 Farnham By-Pass, Sheperd and Flock Roundabout, Hale Road, Upper Hale Road, Folly Hill, Castle Hill, Castle Street and The Borough.
