(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)
(Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 2026
On 20 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit heavy commercial vehicles exceeding 7.5Tonnes from entering or proceeding in the entire length of (a) Martyrs Lane (D3782) Woking; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Martyrs Lane (D3782) Woking (Weight Restriction) Order 2013” in its entirety. This Order is required to enable Murphy Technical Services to safely allow traffic to flow while utility works are taking place and because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road. It is anticipated that the remedial works will be carried out over 5 weeks, within the 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 27 May 2026 and continues in force the provisions imposed by “The Surrey County Council Martyrs Lane (D3782) Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2026” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 08 May 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restriction, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The prohibition will not apply in relation to vehicles requiring access to premises or land in or adjacent to the said road, vehicles used by the emergency services or for the purposes of essential services, works and maintenance, and vehicles proceeding in accordance with directions given by Surrey Police, when requiring access to the said lengths of roads. Alternative Route: (A320) Chertsey Road, (A245) Six Crossroads Roundabout, and (A245) Woodham Lane, or this route in reverse.
Prey Heath Road (D3685) Mayford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Prey Heath Road (D3685) Mayford as extends from its junction with (D3685) Smarts Heath Lane to its junction with Worplesdon Railway Station;
(b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Prey Heath Road (D3685) Mayford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: Burdenshott Road, and (A320) Woking Road, (A320) Guildford Road, and Prey Heath Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate excavation works to clear blockage for, or on behalf of Chevron TM/M Group. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Saunders Lane (D3680) Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Saunders Lane (D3680) Woking. Alternative Route: Blackhorse Road, and (B380) Smarts Heath Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Morrison Telecom Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
