TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (HORNTON STREET) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they have made a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Hornton Street to be closed from the junction of Holland Street to the junction of Hornton Place.
The road is to be closed to vehicles for utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Tuesday 26th May 2026 until 18.00hrs on Friday 29th May 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Diverted through traffic may Hornton Street, Campden Grove, Kensington Church Street, Kensington High Street, Campden Hill Road, Phillimore Walk, and Holland Street.
The One-way working on Hornton Street is to be suspended during the times of the road closure.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to: - anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
