Methwold Road - Temporary Road Closure For Utility Works
What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (METHWOLD ROAD) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they have made a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Methwold Road to be closed at the junction of Barlby Road to the junction of Hill Farm Road.
The Road is to be closed to vehicles for utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Tuesday 26th May 2026 until 18.00hrs on Friday 29th May 2026, with backup dates of Monday 1st June 2026 until Thursday 4th June 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Diverted through traffic may use Barlby Road, St Mark's Road, Oakworth Road, Methwold Road. or Barlby Road, Pangbourne Road, Oakworth Road Methwold Road, in both directions
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
- anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
- Anything done in connection with the execution of said works
