CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HIGHAM GOBION ROAD/ WINDSOR ROAD, BARTON LE CLAY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends

not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Higham Gobion Rd, Barton le clay between A6 and Weshy Manor.

This temporary closure is required to enable S278 for new Taylor Wimpey housing development. Works including: Construction of roundabout; Laying of new services; Footpath widening and resurfacing; Carriageway alterations and resurfacing to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 15 June to 18 September 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

Windsor Road will only be closed for approx. 1 week within this time frame and dates will be signed on site.

Access to the school/Nursery will be maintained throughout.

The alternative route will be via Higham Gobion Rd - Hanscombe End Rd, Aspley End Rd, B655, Bedford Rd and vice versa.

Windsor Rd – Windsor Rd, Norman Rd, Manor Rd, B655 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 15 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(SUNDON ROAD, HARLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Sundon Road, Harlington outside number 87 to 89.

This temporary closure is required to enable mains fitting and sluice valve replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing. It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 5 July 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Sundon Road, Church Road, Sharpenhoe Road, Bedford Road, Church Road, Sharpenhoe Road, Sundon Road, Streatley Road, Harlington Road, Sundon Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 1 July 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(DAGNALL ROAD, EATON BRAY AND DAGNALL ROAD, WHIPSNADE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Dagnall Road, Whipsnade and Dagnall Road, Eaton Bray between The Green and the County Border.

This temporary closure is required to enable tree maintenance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 10 June between the hours of 0800 and 1700hrs. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via B489, B440 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 4 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
