SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C677 REDE ROAD, WHEPSTEAD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C677 Rede Road, Whepstead from 800 metres south of the junction with Old School Road for 135 metres southbound to facilitate works to overhead lines and telecoms poles. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Old School Road, Whepstead, Chedburgh Road, Whepstead, Bury Road, Chedburgh, Kiln Lane, Chedburgh, Kiln Lane, Rede, Blacksmith Road, Rede and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 20/05/2026 from 9.30am - 4.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 17, KELSALE CUM CARLTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 17, Kelsale Cum Carlton from North Green for 65 metres north eastbound to facilitate public safety for building works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/05/2026 - 19/11/2026 or longer if extended by the Minister.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C22 FOXHALL ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C22 Foxhall Road, Ipswich from 45 metres west of the junction with Cauldwell Hall Road to 92 metres west of the junction with Tomline Road to facilitate the installation of a new electricity supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Heath Road, Woodbridge Road East, Spring Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 29/05/2026 - 31/05/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE A137 VERNON STREET AND WHERSTEAD ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
- A137 Vernon Street, Ipswich from 30 metres east of the junction with Little Whip Street for 30 metres eastbound
- A137 Vernon Street, Ipswich from 30 metres south of the junction with Dock Street to the junction with Little Whip Street.
This is to facilitate a gas replacement scheme. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A137, the A1214, the A14, the A137 and vice versa.
For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the A137 Wherstead Road, Ipswich.
It is intended that these measures will operate from:
- 29/05/2026 - 31/05/2026 from 8pm - 7am
- 06/06/2026 - 08/06/2026 from 8pm - 7am
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7126 HALL ROAD, GREAT BRADLEY
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U7126 Hall Road, Great Bradley from 650 metres east of Thurlow Road for 100 metres south eastbound, to facilitate a pole replacement and cabling. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Bradley Road, Queen Street, Erratts Hill, Pound Green, Newbush Road, the A143, Sowley Green, Bury Road, the B1061 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/05/2026 - 21/05/2026 from 9am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1628 HILL ROAD AND U1627 GREEN LANE ACCESS ROAD TO LANDFILL SITE, WANGFORD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
• U1628 Hill Road, Wangford
• U1627 Green Lane Access Road to Landfill Site, Wangford from Hill Road to Waveney Common Covert.
This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A12, the B1125 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/05/2026 - 22/05/2026 from 8am - 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A12 MAIN ROAD AND A1094 FRIDAY STREET, BENHALL
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
• A12 Main Road, Benhall from the junction with Park Road to the junction with the B1121 northbound only
• A1094 Friday Street, Benhall from the junction with the A12 for 152 metres southbound.
This is to facilitate the construction of a new roundabout. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
• the A12 Northbound: B1116, A1120, A1094 and vice versa.
• the A1094 Northbound: A1094, B1069, B1122, A1094 and vice versa.
• the A1094 Southbound: B1069, A1152, A12 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/05/2026 - 21/05/2026 from 8pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8336 HORNERS GREEN AND U8335 BUTCHERS LAND, GROTON AND BOXFORD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
• U8336 Horners Green, Groton from Horners Green House for 10 metres northbound
• U8335 Butchers Lane, Boxford from the junction with Horners Green for 20 metres north westbound.
This is to facilitate stop tap repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the road from the 8331 to the 8326, Howe Road, Groton, Church Street, Groton, Swan Street, Groton, Swan Street, Boxford, Broad Street, Boxford and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/05/2026 - 21/05/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C769 Skylark Way, Bury St Edmunds from Driver Avenue to Lady Miriam Way to facilitate road marking works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Lady Miriam Way, Mount Road, Otter Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 7pm on 29/05/2026 - 5am on 30/05/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
