Cockwood, Stogursey - Temporary Road Closure due to Road Patching Works

Temporary Closure of Cockwood

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Cockwood - from the junction with Clayland Corner to the junction with Monkton Lane. A total distance of 1233 metres.

This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out pre-surface dressing patching works on behalf of Somerset Highways. Solid diamond symbolization will be used on the diversion route and will not clash with any other Kiely Bros works within the area.

The Order becomes effective on 2nd June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 8th June 2026 and last until 15th June 2026 between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00 for a total of 8 days.
