Mae Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Wrecsam yn bwriadu gwneud GORCHYMYN (GWAHARDD TRAFFIG TRWODD) DROS DRO dan Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984

o 01/06/2026 fydd yn gwahardd unrhyw gerbyd rhag defnyddio’r darn hwnnw o Ffordd Hightown, Wrecsam. Mae hyn er mwyn galluogi O’Connor Utilities, ar ran Scottish Power, i uwchraddio a chysylltu’r cyflenwad nwy yn y lôn gerbydau a’r troedffyrdd. Cynhelir y gwaith mewn sawl cam. Disgwylir i’r gwaharddiad bara am 5 wythnos, neu nes y caiff y gwaith ei gwblhau os bydd hynny’n gynt, a gallai bara am hyd at 18 mis.

Y llwybr amgen i gerbydau yr effeithir arnynt gan y cau hwn fydd ar Ffordd Gymraeg Ddôl yr Eryrod, Ffordd Sir Amwythig a Ffordd Caia a bydd arwyddion priodol yn cael eu gosod. Bydd mynediad i gerddwyr yn cael ei gynnal trwy gydol y cyfnod y mae’r ffordd ar gau.

Y llwybr amgen i gerbydau yr effeithir arnynt gan hyn fydd drwy Ffordd Caia, Ffordd Sir Amwythig a Ffordd y Nant, a bydd arwyddion priodol yn cael eu gosod. Bydd mynediad i gerddwyr yn cael ei gynnal trwy gydol y cyfnod y mae’r ffordd ar gau.

Wrexham County Borough Council intends to make a TEMPORARY (PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

effective from 01/06/2026 prohibiting any vehicle from using that length of Hightown Road, Wrexham. This is to enable O’Connor Utilities on behalf of Scottish Power to upgrade and connect the electricity supply in the carriageway and footways. Works will be carried out in multiple phases. The prohibition is expected to last for 5 weeks, or until completion of the works if earlier, with a maximum duration of 18 months.

PHASE 1: 1st – 15th June 2026. Full road closure of Hightown Road, between its junction with Smithfield Road Roundabout and its junctions with Caia Road and Benjamin Road, a distance of 124m. The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure is via Eagles Meadow Link Road, Salop Road, and Caia Road which will be signposted accordingly. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

PHASE 2: 15th June to 3rd July 2026. Full road closure of Hightown Road, from its junctions with Caia Road and Benjamin Road, in a southerly direction for a distance of 45m. The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure is via Caia Road, Salop Road and Rivulet Road, which will be signposted accordingly. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.
