O 01/06/2026 i wahardd unrhyw gerbyd rhag defnyddio’r darn hwnnw o Ffordd Smithfield, Wrecsam er mwyn galluogi O'Connor Utilities ar ran Scottish Power i uwchraddio a chysylltu’r cyflenwad trydan yn y gerbyffordd a’r droedffyrdd. Cynhelir y gwaith mewn sawl cam. Disgwylir i’r gwaharddiad bara 2 fis, neu hyd nes bydd y gwaith wedi ei gwblhau os bydd hynny’n gynt, a gallai bara hyd at 18 mis.

CAM 1: 1 - 22 Mehefin 2026. Cau Ffordd Smithfield yn llawn, rhwng y gyffordd â chylchfan Ffordd Smithfield a’r gyffordd â Ffordd Manley, pellter o 57m. Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer cerbydau yr effeithir arnynt gan gau’r ffordd yw ar hyd Ffordd Gyswllt Dôl yr Eryrod, Ffordd Sir Amwythig, A525 Ffordd Melin y Brenin, Ffordd Clwydwen, a Heol y Frenhines a fydd ag arwyddion yn unol â hynny. Bydd mynediad i gerddwyr yn cael ei gynnal trwy gydol y cyfnod y mae’r ffordd ar gau.

Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer cerbydau yr effeithir arnynt gan gau’r cyffyrdd yw ar hyd Ffordd Hightown a Ffordd Benjamin, a fydd ag arwyddion yn unol â hynny. Caniateir i draffig deithio i gyfeiriad y dwyrain tua’r gylchfan Ffordd Montgomery. Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer cerbydau yr effeithir arnynt gan gau’r ffordd i un cyfeiriad yw ar hyd Heol y Frenhines, Ffordd Clwydwen, A525 Ffordd Melin y Brenin, Ffordd Sir Amwythig a Ffordd Gyswllt Dôl yr Eryrod, a fydd ag arwyddion yn unol â hynny. Wrexham County Borough Council intends to make a

TEMPORARY (PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER

under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

effective from 01/06/2026 prohibiting any vehicle from using that length of Smithfield Road, Wrexham to enable O'Connor Utilities on behalf of Scottish Power to upgrade and connect the electricity supply in the carriageway and footways. Works will be carried out in multiple phases. The prohibition is expected to last for 2 months, or until completion of the works if earlier, with a maximum duration of 18 months.

PHASE 1: 1st - 22nd June 2026. Full Road Closure of Smithfield Road, between its junction with Smithfield Road roundabout and its junction with Manley Road, a distance of 57m. The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure is via Eagles Meadow Link Road, Salop Road, A525 Kingsmills Road, Whitegate Road, and Queensway which will be signposted accordingly. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

PHASE 2: 24th June – 24th July 2026. One way Closure of Smithfield Road, between its junction with Smithfield Road roundabout and its junction with Montgomery Road roundabout, a distance of 424m. There will be associated side road closures of the junctions of Bertie Road, Bernard Road and Benjamin Road with Smithfield Road throughout the duration. The alternative route for vehicles affected by the junction closures is via Hightown Road and Benjamin Road, which will be signposted accordingly. Traffic is permitted to travel in an easterly direction towards Montgomery Road roundabout. The alternative route for vehicles affected by the one-way closure is via Queensway, Whitegate Road, A525 Kingsmills Road, Salop Road and Eagles Meadow Link Road, which will be signposted accordingly. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.
