TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION
ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC 149914881 : The City of Manchester (Little Quay St, Atkinson St & Deansgate, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & No Waiting No Loading) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Little Quay Street from Quay St to Atkinson St, on Atkinson St from Deansgate to Little Quay Street & on Deansgate from Atkinson St to Quay St.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Quay Street, Byrom Street, Hardman Street, Deansgate. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a MEWP for building maintenance works.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 2nd June 2026 to 3rd June 2026 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00.
The order shall come into operation on 2nd June 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC000 150138752 : The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield Ward) (Temporary Closure of Bus Lane) Order 2026under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any bus, taxi or pedal cycle from proceeding at any time in the following length of bus lane: Wilmslow Road. The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield Ward) (Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Wilmslow Road. The City Council is satisfied that these prohibitions are necessary in order to facilitate cabling works.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 2nd June 2026 to the 3rd June 2026 between the hours of 00:00 and 06:00.
The order shall come into operation on the 2nd June 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
