Manchester City Council proposes to make the CITY OF MANCHESTER (DUTTON STREET, CHEETHAM) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING, PROHIBITION OF LOADING/UNLOADING, LOADING/UNLOADING PARKING PLACES, DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACE, CAR CLUB PARKING PLACES, LIMITED WAITING PARKING PLACES AND AMENDMENT) ORDER 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce the following:
NO WAITING AT ANY TIME:
Dutton Street, (i) south-west side from 154.4m north-west of a point opposite the north-westerly kerb-line of Shaw Street north-westerly for 15m, (ii) south-west side from Trinity Way north westerly to 2.4m north-west of a point opposite the north-westerly kerb-line of Shaw Street.
NO LOADING/UNLOADING AT ANY TIME:
Dutton Street, south-west side from Trinity Way north westerly to a point 2.4m north-west of a point opposite the north-westerly kerb-line of Shaw Street.
LOADING/UNLOADING PARKING PLACES MONDAYSATURDAY 7.30AM-8PM:
Dutton Street, (i) south-west side from 2.4m north-west of a point opposite the north-westerly kerb-line of Shaw Street north-westerly for 15m, width of 2.6m, (ii) southwest side from 53.2m north-west of a point opposite the north-westerly kerb-line of Shaw Street north-westerly for 15m, width of 2.6m, (iii) south-west side from a point 169.4 metres north-west of a point opposite the north-westerly kerb-line of Shaw Street north-westerly for 15m, width of 2.6m.
DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACE:
Dutton Street, south-west side from 40m north-west of a point opposite the north-westerly kerb-line of Shaw Street north-westerly for 13.2m, width of 2.7m.
CAR CLUB PARKING PLACES:
Dutton Street, (i) south-west side from 68.2m north-west of a point opposite the north-westerly kerb-line of Shaw Street north-westerly for 13.2m, width of 2m, (ii) south-west side from 17.4m north-west of a point opposite the northwesterly kerb-line of Shaw Street north-westerly for 13.2m, width of 2m.
LIMITED WAITING PARKING PLACES MONDAYFRIDAY 8AM-6PM AND SATURDAY 8AM-12.30PM 2 HOURS, NO RETURN WITHIN 1 HOUR:
Dutton Street, (i) south-west side from 30.6m north-west of a point opposite the north-westerly kerb-line of Shaw Street north-westerly for 9.3m, width of 2m, (ii) south-west side from 81.4m north-west of a point opposite the northwesterly kerb-line of Shaw Street north-westerly for 73m, width of 2m, (iii) south-west side from 184.4m north-west of a point opposite the north-westerly kerb-line of Shaw Street to Julia Street width of 2m.
Existing Orders shall be amended to be consistent with the proposals. A copy of the proposed Order, a Statement of Reasons, and a plan showing the proposals can be requested by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or examined in person by appointment at the Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm. Objections to the proposals must be sent in writing to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or to the address below, stating the grounds on which they are made, no later than 12th June 2026.
